Imperfect

In an imperfect world, 

yours and mine, 

there's always things we could improve on

and do them better over time.

Let there be improvements

Make our world a better place, 

Brave to admit 

We are not substance of perfection, 

Despite the best of intentions.

It's a badge of honor

To make such an admission freely, willingly, voluntarily,

and not grudgingly. 

For deep within 

We need the right frame of heart, 

 A spirit that desires to improve

Motivated to make the move and ignite the spark.

So it does take courage on our part

to listen to the truth. 

And such courage is birthed from a clarity of heart

 - we understand why we want truth above all else. 

Thus we proceed to seek out truth of gold

coupled with grace as the mould

grace towards others and towards ourselves. 

Accepting the truth of our imperfection, 

frees us up 

to make progress 

and to work on practical improvements 

in our lives and in our world. 

Let's make the world a better place.
