Celebrated my birthday just the other day

Thought it'd be a quiet day

My friends all wanted me to have a good time

And to me that's perfectly fine

So they set the time and place

Baked a cake that suited our taste

Blew the candles, we cut and ate

Got a tear in my eyes

With this passage of time

But then I realised why I cried

I've got friends who really cared

Doesn't matter I'm 49
