Trust & Truth
Loving relationships are impossible to build upon the quicksand of threats and fears. Yet, many have this misguided notion ingrained within their relational psychology. Neither can loving relationships be built upon bribery or trickery. One manipulates on human greed, financial or material gains. The other feeds upon deceitful illusions.
What the world needs, what you and I need is true love relationships. Such a rare commodity is built upon trust and truth. To trust blindly, or to trust based on lies leads to utter tragedy. Some call this blind faith. Perhaps that is why some say that love is blind.
To trust people based on truth is a firm foundaton to build any relationship. Where truth and trust reign in human souls, loving relationships can flourish.
Other ingredients are needed too, for example, grace, meaning unmerited favor, undeserved acts of kindness. One of the greatest expression of grace is forgiveness. We can even call it unconditional love.
"For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." John, a disciple of Jesus
