Here's my journal entry way back in Saturday December 22 2001.

To do -

1. No heavy meals after 9pm
2. Limit TV to 30 mins daily, be selective
3. Fill up my mind with God's Word via various means
4. Write specific areas to change
5. Personal praise & worship times
6. Study God's Word & let God's Word study me
7. Pray aggressively in the Spirit to cover & anoint our church

Number 1 is done! I still snack ... a little ... after 9pm.

Number 2 is down to zero hours now. I still have a TV at home, but that's that - it's all alone at home. I'm finding my info fix via the web more nowadays, more on news and current updates.

Numbers 3 to 7 is still ongoing. I guess it's very much a life growth process that you never really stop, just like the blood cells in the body that has to reproduce daily. As long as I'm alive, I'll very much be chugging along on these.

So, what have I learned from looking at my journal entry of so long ago? I've learned that it is a wonderful way to reflect on how much I have changed and how far I have come.

Perhaps it is worthy your time to dust off your journal cover of yesteryears, flip through the brownish and crisp pages, and read the faded ink of your life and thoughts. It might even bring back a smile or two, a tear or two. It might momentarily bring you back to that event, and just for that brief moment, you;re re-living some of those emotions and experiences. It might all come back strongly or faintly, but you know it's there.

A similar effect might happen as you flip through your old photo albums and wondered how in the world were you dressed in such an old fashioned way, and especially with that hair style! Well, take comfort that back then it was in fashion and trendy!

More recently, with Facebook's Timeline, you might discover lots of surprising things yourself, and what more when you read your friends' Timeline.
